PROJECT
Spin Transfer Torque
Spintronics deals with the study of spin injection, manipulation and detection in the nanoscale.

When the elements in the device become very small (few nanometers),
the spin polarized current can either induce switching or dynamics in the magnetization
due to the transfer of spin angular momentum of the electrons.
The former one find applications in magnetic random access memory and
the latter one can be used as a microwave nano oscillator.
But these devices either need a large current
to induce the required effects or the oscillator output power is very low.
In our lab, we work on the device fabrication and different aspects of the above issue.
