Openings for Ph.D. students with financial support (scholarships) in various fields (MEMS, Si Photonics, THz, Metamaterial, Energy Harvesting, Energy Harvester, Neural prosthesis, Neural probes, Flexible electronics, etc.) at NUS, Singapore (Updated as of July 2018)

 

We are looking for Ph.D. students for a few research topics in next fields:

• 1) Si Photonics

• 2) Vacuum MEMS

• 3) Piezoelectric MEMS (e.g., SAW, FBAR and Resonators)

• 4) Thermoelectric generator technology for energy harvesting (TEG) (In particular, novel 2D thermoelectric materials)

• 5) Neural prosthesis and neural probes

• 6) Metamaterials

• 7) Flexible electronics, Stretchable electronics, Stretchable sensors

The expected applicants should fulfil the following points: Graduates of BSc and MSc Degrees from various Engineering disciplines (e.g. electrical, mechanical, materials, chemical and bio-engineering) and Physics with GAP (i.e., average scores) better than 4 (out of 5) from the following universities:

ECE Department is one of the largest departments in NUS, with a tenure-track or tenured faculty size of approximately 90.
