LI Dongxiao

Received his B.Sc. degree in College of Artificial Intelligence from Chongqing Technology and Business University, Chongqing, China, and Ph.D. degree in Instrument Science and Technology from Chongqing University, China, in 2022. He is now a Research Fellow at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NUS. His research interests are focused on mid-IR metamaterials and nanophotonics for sensing applications.

ZHANG Zixuan

Received his B.Eng. degree from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2018. GUO Xinge

Received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in microelectronics engineering from Southern University of Science and Technology, China, in 2019. RA Yoonsang

Received his B.S. and M.S degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Integrated Engineering Program) from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in 2024. He is now a Research Fellow at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NUS. His research interests include self-powered sensor and energy harvesting technologies for robotics and industrial applications.

LIU Weixin

Received his B.Eng degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2019. He is currently a Research Assistant in the Dept. of ECE, NUS. His research interests focus mainly on MEMS piezoelectric resonant sensors and actuators.

Yu Mingzhi

Received his B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, in 2023. He is now a Research Fellow at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NUS. His research interests are focused on micro- and nano-manufacturing and nanophotonics for sensing applications. He was awarded the China Postdoctoral Exchange Scholarship.

XU Yunlong

Received his M.Sc. degree at Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China, in 2019. After that he received his PhD degree at Donghua University, Shanghai, China. He is an associate investigator starting in Feb. 2025. His research interests are focused on advanced wearable sensors.

He is currently a Research Engineer in the Department of ECE, NUS. His research interests are focused on specific integrated photonics circuits for artificial intelligence.

WANG Yinpeng

XIAO Mengyao

Received her B.Eng. degree in Opto-Electronics Information Science and Engineering at Sichuan University, Sichuan, China, in 2023. She is currently a PhD student at the Department of ECE, NUS. Her research interests focus mainly on MEMS/NEMS sensors, memory and filters for sensing, computing and communication at the edge.

ZHANG Wenjie

SUI Zhouli

Received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering(EE) at University of Leeds, England, in 2023. After that he received his M.Sc degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), National University of Singapore (NUS), in 2024. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the department of ECE, NUS. His research interest lies in development of wearable AI sensors and applications in robtics.

XU Aolei
Ph.D. Student / NUS Research Scholarship / Jan., 2025

After completing his B.Eng. in Electronic Science and Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2023, he earned an M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2024. Currently a PhD candidate in the ECE Department at NUS, his research centers on optoelectronic devices, acoustic-optical modulation techniques, and the development of optical neural networks for enhanced computational acceleration and memory efficiency.

Visiting PhD Students
ZHOU Buguang

ZHOU Buguang received the B.Sc. & M.Sc. degree in the field of Textile chemistry and dyeing engineering from Jiangnan University in Wuxi, China, before 2020, and is now pursuing his Ph.D. from 2020 to the present in Textile Engineering at Donghua University in Shanghai, China. He joined CISM as a visiting PhD student in August 2024. His research interests focus on biomass-derived renewable composite materials or novel multifunctional gels for self-powered sensors and flexible sensing applications.

WANG Song

WANG Song is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He joined CISM as a visiting PhD student in September 2024. His current research interests are focused on flexible pressure sensors and multi-axis force sensors.

Zhang Zhongtan

ZHANG Zhongtan is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University. He joined CISM as a visiting PhD student in Oct 2024. His current research interests are focused on underwater flexible tactile sensors haptic feedback.

Wang Yang

Wang Yang is pursuing a PhD in mechanics at Beihang University. He obtained his Master's degree from the School of Biological and Medical Engineering at Beihang University. His primary research interests lie in liquid metal circuits, flexible electronics, and the interplay between medicine and engineering. He began his studies at NUS on November 2, 2024.

Xu Peihua

XU Peihua is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University (CHN). He joined CISM as a visiting PhD student in NOV 2024. His current research interests are focused on Flexible Sensors Capable of Proprioception and Exteroception in Soft Robotics.

HAO Yi

HAO Yi is currently pursuing her PhD in Textile Science and Engineering at Jiangnan University. She joined in CISM as a visiting PhD student in Nov 2024. Her current research interests focus on functional fiber materials, flexible electronics and energy conversion devices.

YANG Huanyu

YANG Huanyu received the B.Sc. degree from North University of China in June 2020. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering at Nanjing University of Science and Technology since September 2021. His research interests focus on RGB image-based small object perceptive, infrared small target detection, and object detection based on multi-modal image fusion.

ZHANG Shuai

ZHANG Shuai received the B.Sc. degree in Automation in 2014 and the M.Sc. degree in Control Engineering in 2018, both from Jiangnan University in Wuxi, China. Since 2021, he has been pursuing his Ph.D. in the School of Management at Hefei University of Technology in Hefei, China. He joined CISM as a visiting Ph.D. student in January 2025. His research interests focus on medical robotics, medical image processing, and 3D reconstruction.

LU Xiao

LU Xiao received the B.Sc. degree in the field of Electrical Engineering from Lanzhou Jiaotong University in Gansu, China, before 2017. He received the M.Sc. degree in the field of Renewable Energy Science and Engineering from Shanghai Electric Power University in Shanghai, China, before 2021, and is now pursuing his Ph.D. from 2022 to the present in Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai University in Shanghai, China. He joined CISM as a visiting PhD student in January 2025. His research interests focus on human intent perception and intelligent perception of unmanned systems.

LIN Shaomei

LIN Shaomei received her B.Sc. in Functional Materials from Donghua University in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Donghua University. She joined CISM as a visiting Ph.D. student in March 2025. Her research focuses on flexible electronics and self-powered sensing systems.

LI Yihao

LI Yihao is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Department of Automation, at Tsinghua University. He joined CISM as a visiting PhD student in Feb. 2025. His current research interests are focused on deep learning-driven design of metasurface-integrated FET Terahertz detectors.

Zhao Xi is currently a undergraduate in the ECE department, NUS. Her research interests are focused on self-powered sensors, triboelectric nanogenerator. Her FYP project starts in Aug 2024 and will end in Apr 2025.
