Electric Drive Systems

Non-linear control techniques for electrical drives

In this on-going work, hardware implementations of such non-linear control for speed control application using DSPs have been carried out. Various other intelligent control techniques are also under investigation presently. This research work is funded by a university RP.

Integrated platforms for research on electric drives

This project is funded by a university RP and has been recently completed. Here, an integrated drive platform for induction

motor, switched reluctance motor, and a permanent magnet synchronous motor has been developed. The platform comprises of appropriate sensors, drives and real time software controllability to support collaborative work with colleagues and research students.
