Research Interests:I have a broad area of research interests which include the study of superconductivity, magnetism, exotic quantum states of matter, (quantum) tunneling phenomena, time resolved phenomena, and surface physics. I am mainly interested in spin related phenomena in semiconductors, charge and spin transport, and optical manipulation. I am intrigued by the Hall effect in solids, particularly by the idea of realizing the quantum anomalous Hall effect. I am also interested in graphene, topological insulators, oxide and photovoltaic materials and their applications in spintronics, photonics and plasmonics.
Current Project:I am currently investigating transport, optical, and surface properties of topological (magnetic) insulators for spintronics and photonics applications.
