Highlights
The third Graduate Student Council (GSC) tea session was held on 16th Sept 2011 at NUS ECE Department Hibiscus lounge. This event is an award ceremony for 1st NUS ECE Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) winners and also provide a platform for students - professors interaction. This event has drawn more than 30 students.
The session started off with a welcoming speech by Li Yongfu (Vice-President of GSC) and followed by an award presentation ceremony. 14 awards were given out to the top students from various research areas. These awards were generously sponsored by NUS ECE Department, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Power & Energy Society and IEEE Reliability/CPMT/ED Singapore Chapter.
Thereafter, the Professors and the students enjoyed some light refreshment and the student interacted with the professors. Prof. Chua K.C , A/P Thong J., A/P Adekunle and A/P Zhu C.X were present to address some of the issues pertaining to NUS ECE administrative and students’ research. The tea session concluded with GSC members expressing thanks to all the students and staffs for their help and support.
In this tea session, the feedbacks from students were well received and some students show interest in joining ECE GSC. The GSC committee would like to spend this opportunity to thanks professors and students from ECE Department.
