Highlights

The second Graduate Student Council (GSC) tea session was held in Hia successful event thanks to the efforts by professors and students from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The session was headed by Prof. John Thong. Prof. Zhu Chun Xiang and Prof. Adekunle Adeyeye were invited to be present.

The session started with a speech by Zhang Zhe (Public Relation Officer of GSC). Everyone then grabbed some refreshments. This was continued by a speech by Prof. Thong who has been in charge for the Graduate Student Council. Prof. Thong answered the questions in the questionnaire from the registration form. He mainly discussed the issues of graduate module reform, QE preparation, matriculation of Ph.D. study, scholarships, relations between the professors and students, and so on. The students were very interested in this useful updated information.

When everyone was enjoying the light refreshment, a student - staff interaction took place. The interaction involved sharing of views and discussion on the graduate study, research and campus life. After all the above activities, the tea session was concluded with GSC members expressing thanks to all the students and staffs for their help and support.

The feedback following the tea session showed that students liked the tea session .One student thanked Prof. Thong for his detailed explanations on the relevant questions and would like this event to continue. Some students complained that the refreshment was not enough. This was due to the budget and the price of the food.
