I belong to the Control, Intelligent Systems and Robotics (CISR) group of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NUS. I am also a Research Associate in the A-STAR Data Storage Institute, Singapore.

My research interests cover following areas:

• Precision Mechatronics
• Disk Drive Servomechanism
• Mobile Robots
• Particle Swarm Optimization

I am a Senior Member of IEEE. I am actively involved in various activities of IEEE Control Systems Chapter and IEEE SMC (Systems, Man and Cybernetics) Chapter. Currently, I am serving as a Corresponding Editor (Asia and Australia) of IEEE Control Systems Magazine.
