Kie Leong Teo is currently the Vice-Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Engineering and Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his PhD in ECE (1997) from NUS. He was a visiting scholar (1995-1996) and a post-doctoral fellow (1997-1998) at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) at UC Berkeley. He joined NUS faculty at ECE in 1999. His current research areas focus on the (a) growth of dilute magnetic semiconductors and half-metals using molecular-beam epitaxy and sputtering of magnetic materials for nonvolatile memory and spintronic applications, (b) study of wide bandgap semiconductor for optoelectronics and (c) high pressure semiconductor research. He is also a member of NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS). He has served on many research/technical review panels and conference organization committees. Kie Leong is also a member of the American Physical Society and IEEE.
