PCB Design Tips...

  1. Go through the AD6 Tutorial and PCB Design Info before attempting to design your PCB.

  2. The AD6 Tutorial is meant for both academic and industrial purposes. So, you may ignore advance topics, e.g. auto-routing and polygon pour.

  3. Components commonly used in EE2001/EE3032 project are collected in the "Common Components Library". Install it in AD6 and you can immediately include these components in your PCB design.

  4. Please take note that Surface Mount Devices (SMDs) can be extremely difficult to be tested on breadboards and mounted onto our through-hole PCBs. Similarly, when selecting components, try to avoid all other non-through-hole component packaging (e.g. SOIC, PLCC, QFP, QFN, etc) if possible.
