Tan Yen Kheng (PhD Student) - Presented a topic "Realization Of Energy Harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks (EH-WSN) – with special focus on the energy harvesting systems" at the Energy Harvesting & Storage Conference, held 2 - 5 June 2009, at Clare College, Cambridge, UK. Student also travelled to four UK universities / organization to present on the same research work topic. The institutes visited are Imperial College, University of Bristol, Perpetuum Ltd, University of Southampton and University of Cambridge. |

The award winning paper is entitled "ASED_AIM analysis of scattering by large scale finite periodic arrays". The prize comprises USD 200 and a certificate. Rinus Lee Tek Po (Ph.D Student) - Young Scientist Award, European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) 2009 Spring Meeting, 12 June 2009, Strasbourg, France. The winning paper is titled "Sulfur Segregation at the Platinum Silicide/Silicon:Carbon Interface for Electron Barrier Height Reduction: An Approach to Enable Independent Control of Contact Resistances for N- and P-channel FinFETs with a Single Metal Silicide", and is co-authored with his supervisor, Dr Yeo Yee Chia. |
