This webpage describes our work on image-based modeling, which is to create realistic 3D models from images. So far, we have applied image-based modeling for plants and buildings.
The first two works on plants, "image-based plants modeling" and "image-based tree modeling", study how to model bonsai and trees from an image sequence respectively. Later, the "single image tree modeling" extends these works to model with a single image.
The first work on buildings, "image-based facade modeling", studies how to model a street (mostly consists of modern buildings) by taking pictures along it. The second work, " symmetric architecture modeling with a single image", studies the modeling problem with a single image by exploiting symmetry based constraints.
