A position is available for a Post Doctoral Fellow or Research Fellow in the High Performance Computation for Engineered Systems (HPCES) Programme of the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA). The SMA is an innovative engineering education and research collaboration among the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Job
Description: To carry out research and development in
the areas of:
(a) Fast
Algorithms using Fast Multipole Method, Pre-corrected FFT Method,
and/or Adaptive Integral Method
(b) Applications of fast algorithms to electromagnetic scattering problems, circuit designs and antenna designs for periodic structures
Remuneration: S$4,000 (approx. US$2,850 or RMB20,000) per month, inclusive of allowances.
Tenure: 2 years initially, but there is an opportunity for extension.
Qualifications: Below 35 years old & a Ph.D. degree granted recently or within 4 years in addition to the followings
A PhD in a relevant area from a good university. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Strong background in computational electromagnetics or computational physics. Experiences in
microwave device modeling/simulation,
antenna design and analysis, and/or
radar cross sections of large and complicated objects will be advantageous.

The position is supported by a joint project of Dept. of ECE and the Temasek Laboratories (a newly established National Lab.).
