Best Student Paper Award for IEEE Photonics Global Conference (PGC) 2010: Mr. Kah How KOH

In the recently concluded IEEE Photonics Global Conference 2010, one of our team members, Mr. Kah How Koh, received the Best Paper Award for his article "MEMS VOA based on torsional attenuation mechanism using piezoelectric cantilever integrated with 1x10 PZT thin film actuators." The student paper contest, sponsored by Nature Photonics, consisted of a team of review panel chaired by the chief editor of Nature Photonics, Dr. Oliver Graydon. The award was personally presented by Dr. Graydon to Mr. Koh during the conference banquet at NTU Alumni Club. It was indeed a night to rememeber for him! Congratulations to him!
