Motivation

This website was initiated by our department head, Professor Yeo Swee Ping, who envisions a common and virtual locality to showcase talents within the ECE community. On top of displaying student’s achievements, we aimed to design this site to be a platform for students to share their experiences, whether it is in the area of service in departmental societies, participation in overseas opportunities or even more! As Singapore determines herself to becoming global and knowledge-based, such sharing is important and should be encouraged. All in all, we hope to motivate our students to work hard and play hard; learning to strike a balance in today’s dynamic environment, showing them that in the middle of heavy workload, ECE department can be a place of excellence, whether it is within or beyond the academic fields, only if they dare to take up the challenges.
