Rules and Regulations:

1)  Workplace General Safety Rules and Regulations

2)  Laboratory Safety Guidelines 

ECE Department has adopted the complete set of Faculty of Engineering’s in-house safety rules and regulations as the Department's standard safety guidelines.

This complete set of in-house safety rules and regulations are in force with immediate effect inclusive of Rule No. 4 regarding proper attire. Compliance is mandatory and these apply to all staff, students and all lab users while working or attached to the laboratories/workshops belonging to ECE.

Actions will be taken on all violators will be as follows:  

·        Verbal warning to be given for first violation.

·        Second-time violators to be barred from using the laboratory. L.T. or R.E. to notify the P.I. (s).  

All violations will be recorded in a Safety Violation Form which tracks the number of violations committed by each violator. This form will be kept and maintained by the Laboratory Officer or the Research Staff in charge.  

All Laboratory Officer or Research Staff are advised to constantly remind the students of these in-house rules and regulations.
