B.Tech.(Electronics)

The Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) Program is a part-time program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.). This program is offered by the Faculty of Engineering, NUS in collaboration with the NSTB. The program is the first part-time undergraduate course in engineering offered by a local university.

It provides an avenue for polytechnic graduates to pursue a relevant degree course without having to give up their work or going overseas.

Manufacturing industry accounts for about one quarter of Singapore's GDP and employs a large proportion of local polytechnic diploma graduates. The Bachelor of Technology Program serves to enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. Companies are strongly encouraged to support the students in this endeavour. This will bring about mutual benefits to both company and the employee.

Students enrolled under the program will undergo formal academic training at the NUS and at the same time continue to acquire work experience at their jobs. This form of training blends with the practical aspects of the workplace.

The course contents provide a balance of theoretical grounding, practical knowledge and project work. The standard is rigorous as that of the present full-time Bachelor of Engineering course offered in the NUS. The same admission criteria and grading system are engaged and the same laboratory facilities are used.

For detailed information, please refer to the B. Tech. Website.
