2022/2023 NUS ECE GSC Industry Visit to HUAWEI
On September 7, NUS ECE GSC organized a visit to HUAWEI Enterprise with about 30 Msc and PhD students. The first stop is a gallery hall of HUAWEI's AI Lab, one of the staff from HUAWEI, Ms. Amy, gave a brief of the company's history and their concepts for innovation. Then, the students were given a tour about some of the products from HUAWEI, including 5G base station demo and an access point with Wi-Fi 6 certification. Then the students were leading to another gallery hall which exhibited some products for regular customes like HUAWEI's cellphone
and some accessories for Smart Home.
After visiting these two gallerys, Dr. Liu Wei from HUAWEI gave a talk about the current challenges in antenna designs, then a staff from HUAWEI R&D, Ms. Jessica gave a brief introduction about HUAWEI's research and development, technology breakthroughs, and career life for the employee. After the talk, Dr. Liu Wei and Ms. Jessica answered questions from the students, and all members joined the discussion. After the discussion, the visit had come to a successful conclusion.
