ECE Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) is the annual conference for Graduate Students of the ECE Department to showcase their research. This year's symposium held on 15th Dec, 2021 marks the 1st NUS Circuits & AI symposium held by ECE Department. The objective is to enhance the quality of the graduate seminar as well as providing a platform for graduate students and faculty to exchange the latest research findings and ideas. This symposium provides a unique networking opportunity for students and faculty from NUS with leading industry experts in the field.

This year we had Prof. Yongxin Guo (National University of Singapore), Asst. Prof John S. HO (National University of Singapore) and A. Prof Chao-Fu Wang (National University of Singapore) as advisory committee, and a total of 11 oral papers were presented.

Judges have chosen the winners for their outstanding research contribution and effective communication/presentation skills. A total of 3 students received symposium awards this year and their names are as follows:

At the end of the symposium, judges gave a short speak to all the participants, including both the evaluation of the research content participated in this symposium, and the suggestions and blessings on the future scientific research direction and research attitude of everyone. After the meeting, judges and presenters received the working meal in groups, and according to the research direction of interest, they had lunch in groups. In each group, everyone had further indepth discussions on the issues they were interested in, which benefited a lot.
