Abstract

A recent ECE graduate from the department, this informal session will focus on how Se-Hsieng's background and training have helped to prepare her for the telecommunications industry in general. She will share anecdotes from her project management experience in Video Streaming and Video Telephony, as well as identify key skills for graduates in the evolving workplace. Finally, she will touch briefly on some of the latest technological trends in the industry, such as 3G, IMS and Wimax.

Biography

Se-Hsieng received both her B.Eng (First Class Honours, Minor in Technopreneurship) and M.Eng degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2003. She was also on the NUS Double Degree Program with French Grandes Ecoles from 2000-2002.

Se-Hsieng is currently a Planning Engineer in Mobile Engineering in SingTel. She is now a Cisco Certified Network Associate after receiving the certificate in 2004.
